-KC's need to be explicitly taught
-Teachers need to change their practice to teach KC's
-We need to unpack them whilst keeping their holistic content in mind


"You can get kids to achieve in learning areas, without actually increasing their capacity to learn. If they just come out of school being able to achieve in those areas, but they are too scared to apply their learning, then we haven't done our jobs."

Thinking; Developing an empathy towards others, analysing global issues, problem solving, identify causes and effects, pose questions, evaluate findings and critical thinking, identify different points of view, making judgements based on evidence and learning
Participating and Contributing; Social action, acting locally, bringing about change through learning
Using Language, Symbols and Texts; Communicating their learning, use language, symbols and texts to become informed, making effective use of resources, using pictures to identify and challenge stereotyping
Managing Self; Being an active learner and bringing about change in self, setting questions, reflecting and evaluating progress towards learning goals, and lines of inquiry, designing and following a learning plan
Relating to Others; Being able to probe and ask relevant questions, being active and use learning to influence others (attempt to bring about positive change), identifying different points of view
